 GUIDELINES
COMMITTEE MEETING
The
first Guidelines Committee meeting will be held on August 24, 2008
immediately after church service. All Committee members are encourage to
attend. This will be the first of several meetings for establishing the
guidelines for putting together the ICC's 5 year plan. More information to
follow!
OUTDOOR
PICNIC AND WORSHIP
The
Island Christian Church Annual Outdoor Picnic and Worship is scheduled
this year for Sunday, August 10th at the home of Judy and Fritz Bennett.
Plan on attending this wonderful event which has worship, food, fellowship
and loads of fun for one and all. On Sunday July 27th a sign-up sheet will
be available at church for you to indicate what you plan on bringing. Mark
your calendars now and invite all of your family members. Worship will
begin at 11:00 am with lunch being served beginning at 12:30 pm.

NEWEST
HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE
Brittany
Leech, daughter of Debbie and Doug Leech is a 2008 graduate of Wheeling
Park High School. Brittany will be attended West
Virginia Northern Community College to continue her education in
Nursing. Brittany was recognized during Sunday church service and was
presented with a Graduate's Bible. All of Brittany's church family wish
her the best of luck with her nursing education!
SPECIAL
WEEK OF COMPASSION OFFERING
Thank
you so much for your generous giving of this offering the past two weeks.
The total offering sent to Week of Compassion designated for Midwest Flood
Relief was $276.00!
OUTREACH
PROGRAM UPDATE!
The
Outreach Program made another wonderful contribution of general hygene
items to the Homeless Coalition of Wheeling. The items were delivered to
the Coalition office in Wheeling by church members on the 24th of June.
They indicated the workers there were very grateful for what the Island
Christian Church did to meet the needs of the families they serve. A big
THANK YOU again to Susan Toland for her hard work with the Outreach
Program.

CHURCH
MEMBERS SHAKIN' AND A ROCKIN'
Church
Member Brenda Mayer has recently received her certification as a certified
Jazzercize Instructor. Brenda has put together a 6 week, once a week
program for church members to join in on. The group meets in Monday
evenings at the church from 6:30 to 7:30 pm.
Jazzercise
is a 60-minute class incorporating cardio, strength, and stretch moves for
a total body workout. Some Jazzercise locations offer a variety of class
formats including Jazzercise Express, Jazzercise Lite, and Body Sculpting.
Jazzercise
believes that fitness is an important aspect of well-being and
enhances the overall quality of people's lives; therefore, Jazzercise is
committed to helping people understand and value the importance of health
and fitness.
