Day Celebration
The
women of the ICC and their guests were treated to a Mother's Day brunch after
the morning service. In honor of all mother's, take a moment to nnjoy this
Mother's Day poem penned by Joanna Fuchs:
My
Miracle Mother
Mom,
I look at you
and see a walking miracle.
Your unfailing love without limit,
your ability to soothe my every hurt,
the way you are on duty, unselfishly,
every hour, every day,
makes me so grateful
that I am yours, and you are mine.
With open arms and open heart,
with enduring patience and inner strength,
you gave so much for me,
sometimes at your expense.
You are my teacher,
my comforter, my encourager,
appreciating all, forgiving all.
Sometimes I took you for granted, Mom,
but I don’t now, and I never will again.
I know that everything I am today
relates to you and your loving care.
I gaze in wonder
as I watch you being you—
my miracle, my mother.

WEEK
OF COMPASSION OFFERING
Ah! the joy that comes from giving someone just the perfect
gift. Their utter delight is a gift right back.
Joy motivates us to share our resources with a hurting world through
Week of Compassion. Where does this joy come from?
From God! Sharing invites God more fully into our lives: As we reach out in love, we open the way for God to reach more
deeply into us. As one contributor said, "Giving just feeds my soul! This is what life is about-not collecting things,
but helping people."
Giving from our abundance helps build clean water and sewage facilities in villages devastated by poverty; nurtures
self sufficiency through health care, education, and job training; and brings safety, shelter, and food after natural disaster or
violent circumstances have made towns uninhabitable.
Sharing brings joy to us, to others, to God. Let sharing transform you as you help transform the world through
Week of Compassion. When making your offering please use a
designated envelope or memo your check accordingly.
SHARING RESOURCES. CHANGING LIVES.

($10.00 or less). Kim Byard Emceed the event and each gift bringer
picked a number of the basket. Going in numerical order, each came
up and selected a gift, or if other gifts had already been picked by
someone, and the current gift selector wanted it, it could be
taken!! It was amazing fun and a lot of the gifts were quite funny
and whimsical! Below are photos of the fun event. We can't wait
until next year!!
