He was a retired Common Pleas Probate and Juvenile Judge in
Belmont County
,
Ohio
, serving for twelve years.
Ken
was a graduate of
Bethany
College
and received his Doctorate of Law Degree from
Case
Western Reserve
University
Law
School
. He became a practicing attorney in 1951 and went on to serve as legal
counsel for the villages of
Belmont
, Flushing,
Morristown
, Holloway and
Bethesda
. He also served as Clerk Treasurer for the City of St. Clairsville, and
Assistant Prosecutor and Western Division Judge in
Belmont
County
. He was past president of the Belmont County Bar Association, member of
the Ohio State Bar Association, Secretary-Treasurer of the Belmont
County Law Library, past president of East Ohio Booster's Association
and former secretary of the St. Clairsville Noon Rotary Club. He was
an Army Air Force veteran of WWII serving in
Africa
from 1943-1945. He was a member and Elder Emeritus of the Wheeling
Island Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and member of St.
Clairsville American Legion Post # 159.
In
addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Muriel
Kay.
Surviving
are his wife of 57 years, Pauline Dyrdek Henry; four children, Jeff
Henry of St. Clairsville, Kevin Henry (Asma) of Atlanta, Georgia, Paula
Henry Danyi (John) of Christiansburg, Virginia, and Karen Henry Dowd
(Jeff) of Silver Lake, Ohio; seven grandchildren.
